What’s Happening?

Michael Cruz Kayne presents “Sorry for Your Loss,” a deeply moving yet hilariously heartfelt show in The Vault at the Wheeler. As a Filipino-American comedian, actor, and writer, Michael has made audiences laugh on shows like “The Chris Gethard Show” and performed stand-up on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” But life isn’t always funny. The loss of his young son profoundly changed his world and inspired this touching and comedic exploration of grief.

In “Sorry for Your Loss,” Michael Cruz Kayne confronts the difficult questions around mortality: If everyone dies, why does nobody talk about it? Balancing humor, compassion, and moments of raw honesty, Michael finds a way to make the unbearable feel, somehow, bearable.

“Breathtaking and funny… performed by a master writer/actor… can’t stop thinking about it.” – Gary Gulman

“Absolutely gorgeous storytelling that will leave your heart both full and broken.” – Lea Salonga

Please note: Recommended for mature audiences.
Content warning: This show discusses the loss of a child.
