DanceAspen re:imagine

Ballet Performance Dancing Other Music

What’s Happening?

DanceAspen proudly presents re:imagine, an evening of world premieres by American choreographers whose careers abroad in Europe have shaped bold new visions for contemporary ballet.

2025 Princess Grace Award–winner Houston Thomas updates the iconic Swan Lake pas de deux, fusing its timeless music with visceral, modern intensity. Fresh from Belgium, Shane Urton unveils a dynamic new work set to DanceAspen’s first-ever commissioned score by composer Camiel Jansen, transforming the rhythms of corporate life into movement of surprising lyricism. Meanwhile, rising choreographic voice Emilie Leriche draws from poetry, crafting dances as if they were paragraphs and chapters—language made physical. And DanceAspen artist and choreographer Jonah Delgado brings a stylish, witty new piece that dives into workout culture, exploring how people reinvent themselves through the rituals of the gym.

Together, these premieres embody the spirit of re:imagine—challenging convention, reshaping tradition, and giving voice to a new era of contemporary dance.
