What’s Happening?

The daylong festival-meets-conference at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture invites visitors to immerse themselves in history through more than 20 full-sensory presentations spanning musical revolutions, American presidents, and generation-defining events.

Tickets allow you to attend up to five presentations throughout the day.

Doors open at 10:00 am.

Sessions begin at 11:00 am and the last session will be offered at 3:30 pm. 

Session options include:
•    The American Revolution: Stories You Never Learned In School
•    Why Did They Call It “The Underground Railroad?”
•    Musicals That Changed Broadway Forever
•    Inside The Mind of Abraham Lincoln
•    The Rock Experience: The Music and Stories of Classic Songs
•    Eleanor Roosevelt: Separating Fact From Fiction
•    Films That Changed America
•    Food That Changed America
•    Travel in America
•    The History of Ice Cream
•    The Wines of World Leaders
•    Virginia in 10 Objects
•    The Black Founding Father Every American Should Know
•    Vistas of Democracy: The National Parks in American History
•    The Artistic Genius of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci
•    Thomas Jefferson: What I think Now

The Virginia Museum of History & Culture was founded in 1831 as the Virginia Historical Society.
