What’s Happening?

Join us for a very special evening featuring Cantillon Brewery - a Belgian brewery located in Brussels that specializes in the production of lambic beers. It was founded in 1900 and is one of the few remaining traditional lambic breweries in Belgium and the last in Brussels. Lambic beers are unique because they are fermented using wild yeasts and bacteria that are naturally present in the air around Brussels. This gives them a distinct flavor profile that is unlike any other beer. Cantillon produces a range of lambic beers, including their flagship beer, Gueuze, which is a blend of one, two, and three-year-old lambics. They also produce several fruit lambics, including Kriek (made with cherries), Framboise (made with raspberries), and Rosé de Gambrinus (made with raspberries).

All of the beers produced by Cantillon are unfiltered and unpasteurized, which means that they are alive and continue to ferment in the bottle. This gives them a unique, complex flavor profile and a natural effervescence.

For the first time at the Glass Jug Beer Lab - we will feature a Cantillon keg on tap:

- Cantillon Kriek - a blend of Lambics and Morello cherries at a rate of 200 g per litre. It's a beer with a tangy taste of red fruits, subtle almond flavors. Kriek will have a maximum of "fruitiness" if it is consumed young. Age allows the Lambic to express itself fully, to the detriment of the fruit.

Also available in limited bottles for here or to go:

- Fou’Foune - Blend of lambics aged 18 to 20 months and of Bergeron apricots.
- Rosé de Gambrinus - Blend of lambics and raspberries - 200 g of raspberries per litre of beer.
- Classic Gueuze (two sizes) - Blend of lambics produced during different years. Beer with a slightly acidic and fruity taste, delicate and woody fragrance and a dry finish that lingers on the palate.
- Kriek (two sizes)
