Potter’s Wheel Throw & Glaze Experience

DIY Class BYOB Pottery

What’s Happening?

This event is all about learning how to throw small pots on the Potter's Wheel, and you even get to keep them!

After throwing your vessels you will be able to give pieces the extra personal touch they need by glazing them in underglaze.

From there, the pots will dry out over then next few days and will be glazed with a clear-coat to help make the underglaze bright and shiny.

Once the pieces are fired you will be notified to come back to Inspired Minds to pick up your ready to display/use wares!

Things you need to know:

This is messy work, so wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty. We have aprons and towels available for use.

Short nails are best for beginners working with clay on the wheel. We have nail clippers if you need to chop your claws.

Feel free to BYOB if you're 21 and over if you're signed up for an evening class. Of course we wouldn't frown upon mimosas in the morning. Due to the "BYOB" aspect, any kids 9 and up are welcome to sign up along with an adult. Mornings might be best for younger groups because of this.

We also have Private Throw & Glaze events you can book with us through our "Parties and Rentals" page where the dates and times are customizable to your needs.
