Join the Blanton Museum of Art for a talk that will explore the beautiful and intricate wooden vaults developed across the Viceroyalty of Peru, from the 16th to the 18th centuries. The origins of historical framing carpentry in both the Iberian Peninsula and the Ancient Andes will be considered, showing how interdisciplinary approaches support our understanding of the built environment. Led by special guest, Francisco Mamani, Research Associate at the French Institute of Andean Studies
