The Neill-Cochran House Museum invites you to celebrate the end of A Juneteenth Rodeo, a lively and vivd exhibition of photography from 1970s Black rodeos by artist and best-selling author Sarah Bird. The exhibition, which closes on September 1st, has been wildly popular, delighting visitors to the Neill-Cochran House Museum all summer long.

The reception will be held in the NCHM Exhibit Room surrounded by the exhibition. Guests can enjoy complimentary cocktails and conversation with the artist, Sarah Bird. Don’t miss this chance to experience the world of 1970s Black rodeos through Bird’s vibrant photography.

A Juneteenth Rodeo Closing Reception will run 4:00PM - 6:00PM. Visitors are welcome to drop in anytime during the reception.

Free parking is available behind the Museum.This exhibition was made possible through the generosity of Humanities Texas and Frost Bank, and supported by Milam & Greene Whiskey.

More about Neill-Cochran House Museum
The Neill-Cochran House Museum is located in the heart of Austin, TX, just a few minutes walk from the UT-Austin campus. We steward the city's 10th oldest historic site (1856), including Austin's only intact slave quarters. We share our site, Austin, and Texas history from the city's birth in 1839 up to 1930 through historically furnished spaces as well as numerous rotating art and history exhibitions.
