What’s Happening?

Hispanic Festival, Inc. will be presenting “Fiesta in Florissant” at the Knights of Columbus Park located at 50 St. Francois Street in Florissant near the corner of Lindbergh and Washington St. The event will take place on Saturday, June 22 from 10:00am to 10:00pm and on Sunday, June 23 from 11:00am to 9:00pm.

“For two days, North County will be immersed in the vibrant sounds, food and arts of the Hispanic culture” says Elisa Bender, Board Member.

 Live Latino Bands - National and local Mexican and Salsa bands including Mariachi Los Reyes, Banda Artilleros, Nashville Latin Fusion, Los Bassmenteers, Dragones de la Cumbia and Marisol Terranas, La Guera de Horoscopes

 Authentic Foods – Local “mom and pop” food vendors will prepare food from Mexico, Colombia, Honduras and more

 Folkloric Dancers – From Mexico, Spain, Colombia and more  Hispanic Crafts – Craft vendors from Bolivia, Mexico and Ecuador will be selling clothing, jewelry and more

 Los Niños Kids Corner – Mexican paper flowers, face painting and other fun crafts and games are free for kids

 Car show and Car Cruise – Car show on Sat, June 22 with Dedicated Car Club and a car meet up on Sun, June 23 by Latin Adrenaline Car Club

 “La Villita” Artist Village – Hispanic artists to showcase and sell their art and offer free art activities

 Information booths - Several cultural organizations and businesses will be promoting their goods and services

Admission and parking are free.

One of the Fair’s purposes is to celebrate the common heritage of Hispanic nations particularly because

of the rise of the Hispanic population in North County. The funds raised are used to fund scholarships distributed to college- bound students and underprivileged children.
