Slave Trail Walk and History Tour

Educational Black History Month

What’s Happening?

Walk in the steps of slaves who were sold and traded along the river and Shockoe Bottom as we follow the three-mile Richmond Slave Trail. As we go, we will recall some of the roots of the slave trade and how Christians in Richmond, specifically the congregation of Richmond’s First Baptist Church, responded.  Prompts for reflection and prayer will be provided.

Transportation provided to those who need it from the church to trail head.
