Classical Live Music Concert

What’s Happening?

The Brittingham Players are a Madison based violin and cello duo. Their two hour set is comprised of an eclectic array of classical music spanning from the classical to late romantic era. They will feature popular tunes known and loved by many as well as selections from composers less well-known. Come listen in and be enchanted and enthralled by two gorgeous lads, the Brittingham Players!

Evan Howell (cellist): Evan Howell is a local Madison cellist. His close relationship to the instrument began when he was nine years old and quickly developed into an intoxicating expression and exploration of self. This relationship earned him a music scholarship at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR, where he studied cello alongside theatre performance. He performed as the principal cellist of the school's symphony but enjoyed the intimacy of chamber performance above all else. After some time playing in a quartet across the city, COVID struck, and he was not able to engage with music again in that way until he met Adam in Madison. He adores their friendship and is proud of the fullness of heart they express through classical music.

Adam El-Meanawy (violinist): Adam El-Meanawy moved to Madison in 2016 to study biochemistry. In 2019, he graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in philosophy- a change motivated by experiences had while studying music in Vienna for a semester. He now serves the Madison community as a barista south of campus. He anticipates returning to academic life in the coming years, in order to pursue s PhD in the philosophy of psychology. In the meantime, he enjoys writing with typewriters, taking pictures with mid-century cameras, and, perhaps above all, making music with his violin.
