Fridge Art Fair: The Return of The Miami Popsicle Project: The Rainbow Popsicle Edition

Art Gallery Paintings Art Exhibition

What’s Happening?

Fridge Art Fair is pleased to announce The Rainbow Popsicle Edition, celebrating 10 years of the Miami edition of Fridge. The "Little Fair That Could" first landed in Miami from New York’s Lower East Side in December of 2013.

For the 10th anniversary edition, we are honored to bring the Fridge Art Fair to the historic Courtyard Miami Coconut Grove with a particular focus on celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. The 10th-anniversary edition will bring back many Fridge Favorites such as The Imaginary Fridge Art Fair Marching Band, Rainbow Popsicles, and more.

New projects include: a community fridge from Buddy System MIA; a Collage and Connect postcard creation project with notes of support to the LGBTQ+ community by collaboARTive, founded by Jean and Iggy Font; a Giant Rotating Rainbow Popsicle by David Craig Ellis; a multimedia alcove by Kaitlin Martin; and the Return of Eric Ginsburg’s Doggie Woggie Celebrity Wall of Fame with Rainbows.

Since its inception in May 2013, Fridge Art Fair has presented concurrently with Frieze (yes, the name is a play on that week in New York City!) and Art Basel in Miami. We have lived up to our tagline, "Can you fit into the Fridge?" by accepting numerous and diverse exhibitors in spaces from tiny to huge that were either affordable or donated to us.

The Opening Event: The Grand Popsicle Gala and Auction Benefiting Buddy System MIA is Wednesday, December 6th and it's free to attend, donations welcome!

Artist submissions are ongoing and members of the LGBTQ+ community are especially encouraged to apply.
