Tribute Concert and Scarecrow Stroll

Oktoberfest Concert

What’s Happening?

This October, the Eagles bring their Last Goodbye tour to Detroit with opening act, Steely Dan. Whether or not you've made plans to attend that show, the Taylor Conservatory presents a celebration of that momentous occasion with Detroit's own tributes to those legendary bands, Motown Eagles and Major Dudes, on Saturday, October 7th @ the Taylor Conservatory and Botanical Gardens' 4th Annual Scarecrow Stroll.

You'll hear all the biggest Eagles and Steely Dan hits as well as a few songs rarely, if ever, played live these days by the two groups. As the Eagles bring their touring days to an end (and who knows how long Steely Dan will continue?), Motown Eagles and Major Dudes honor their giant contributions to rock and roll history with stellar renditions of the timeless tunes they created.

In addition to the concert, The Conservatory will host a Fall Vendor Market. The market will be held from Noon until 7:00pm in the Gardens, rain or shine. The market is open to the general public at no charge from Noon until 2:00pm.

Starting at 2:00pm a $10 per person entry fee applies. Ages 10 & under are free all day but must be accompanied by an adult. All guests ages 11 years and older must have a $10 wristband past 3:30pm.

The concert will start at 4:00pm with Major Dudes followed by an intermission, then the Motown Eagles will play until 7:00pm.

During the event, Scarecrows created by local businesses, organizations and individuals will be on display through out the Gardens and Trails. Each guest will receive three tickets to vote for their favorite scarecrow creation. The top three scarecrows will win a prize.
Winners will be announced via FaceBook and on www.TaylorConservatory.org on Sunday October 8th. There will be food vendors and a mobile bar through out the day.
