What’s Happening?

Join us as we explore the mysterious world of owls. Learn about the owls of Nebraska and meet our educational owls up-close.

Enjoy s’mores and hot chocolate around a fire pit. Go on a guided hike to look and listen for owls.

Activities will be both indoors and outdoors. Be sure to dress for the weather.

DATE: November 17 and 18
TIME: 7:00 P.M. TO 8:30 P.M.
LOCATION: Fontenelle Forest
MINIMUM CAPACITY: 40
MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 100
PROGRAM FEE:  $10 FOR MEMBERS AND $20 FOR NON-MEMBERS. MEMBERS MUST SIGN IN TO RECEIVE DISCOUNT.

More about Fontenelle Forest
Founded in 1913, Fontenelle Forest is one of Nebraska's oldest conservation organizations and one of the largest private nature centers in the nation. This federally designated 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity is a National Natural Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. Fontenelle Forest owns and manages two nature centers: Fontenelle Forest Nature Center in Bellevue and Neale Woods in Omaha. The properties encompass over 2,100 acres of forest, prairie and wetlands along the Missouri River in the geographically significant Loess Hills. The mission of Fontenelle Forest is to provide a place where people can experience and enjoy the quiet wild of nature. We want to inspire current and future generations to care for the natural world.
