Zoo & Animals Children's Museums Halloween

What’s Happening?

Do snakes sleep with their eyes open? Do turkey vultures have feathers on their head? Can an owl turn their head all the way around?
We will do a little myth-busting to find the answers to these questions and more, while learning about our resident animal ambassadors. This fun family program will include slime-making, eating spooky cookies (decorated by you) and other fun educational activities.
Activities will be both indoors and outdoors. Be sure to dress for the weather.

DATE: October 28
TIME: 2:00 to 4:00 P.M.
LOCATION: Fontenelle Forest
MINIMUM CAPACITY: 40
MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 100
PROGRAM FEE: This program is $10 for members and $20 for non-members. Members must sign in to receive discount.

More about Fontenelle Forest
Founded in 1913, Fontenelle Forest is one of Nebraska's oldest conservation organizations and one of the largest private nature centers in the nation. This federally designated 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity is a National Natural Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. Fontenelle Forest owns and manages two nature centers: Fontenelle Forest Nature Center in Bellevue and Neale Woods in Omaha. The properties encompass over 2,100 acres of forest, prairie and wetlands along the Missouri River in the geographically significant Loess Hills. The mission of Fontenelle Forest is to provide a place where people can experience and enjoy the quiet wild of nature. We want to inspire current and future generations to care for the natural world.
