ABOUT THIS COMPETITION: This competition is the third and final round of Jumping. The overall winner will be named. Winners are determined by combing the lowest number of penalties after the three Final Competitions (Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3).

TICKETING: Tickets to this event will be sold in the All-Session Package, Jumping Packages and sold as a Single Session ticket. 

WHAT IS JUMPING? Jumping enjoys its place, both nationally and internationally, as one of the most popular and perhaps most recognizable equestrian events. Jumping is spectator friendly and easy to understand.

With 12-15 obstacles between 1.40 meters (4.59 feet) – 1.60 meters (5.24 feet) high, the object for the rider and horse to navigate a series of obstacles, without incurring any penalties. Penalties include knocking down poles, refusing to jump, landing in the water, exceeding time.

A jumping course tests a horse’s athleticism, agility and tractability while simultaneously testing a rider’s precision, accuracy, and responsiveness. Perhaps most importantly, jumping tests the partnership between horse and rider.

Competitive Jumping has enjoyed immense popularity worldwide since the early 1900s, and the discipline continues to grow.  In today’s show ring, horses and ponies of all sizes and breeds compete in jumping classes representing varying levels of challenge.

More about Omaha Equestrian Foundation
The Omaha Equestrian Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit. We host jumping, dressage and vaulting events that entertain, bring sport fans to our community from across the globe and contribute to the Omaha economy. We use these events, along with other opportunities, to educate area students using horses, teach fans about our sports and help regional riders improve their skills. We also partner with other area equine non-profits to elevate our mission and to help them achieve theirs.
