Join us at UrbanBeat for a special 4 PM matinee featuring Flight of the Lion (Vuelo del León) — an eclectic afternoon of original music, unexpected combinations, and plenty of personality.

Sarah’s original music blends samba, jazz, and indie rock, performed by an array of incredible professional musicians, with a splash of classic rock covers and even a spritz of opera.

Jack Bergeron — Saxophone
Jack began studying saxophone at 35 and has performed with both big bands and smaller ensembles. He is currently a member of 800G, a quartet performing original music, and is a former art professor and administrator at Lansing Community College.

Jeff Boog — Bass Guitar & Upright Bass
Jeff Boog performs with 800G, blending original music and covers into a distinctive acoustic sound influenced by folk rock, pop, Delta blues, hip hop, and jazz.

Dr. Dilek Engin Stolarchuk — Violin & Piano
An active performer, conductor, and music educator, Dr. Dilek Engin Stolarchuk currently conducts the Mason Philharmonic Orchestra and performs with orchestras and ensembles throughout Michigan and Ohio. A multi-instrumentalist with extensive international experience, she has performed across Europe, the United States, and beyond.

Michael A. Eyia — Lead Guitar & Vocals
Born in Havana, Cuba, Michael Eyia began classical guitar at age 10 under renowned Cuban guitarist and composer Dr. Leo Brouwer. A longtime Lansing musician and educator, he founded RITMO, a Cuban and Latin music ensemble that grew into a 10-piece orchestra and has shared stages with artists including Los Lobos, Oscar D’León, Pete Escovedo, and The Bangles.

Concert pianist, accompanist, composer, and instructor Liudmila was trained in Russia at the Institute of Fine Arts in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, and studied church music at St. Petersburg Theological Academy before continuing her studies at Michigan State University. She has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, and accompanist, including with the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, and currently teaches at MSU’s Community Music School. One of her most memorable musical experiences was accompanying fellow Siberian student Dmitri Hvorostovsky, who later became a world-renowned baritone known as the “Silver Baritone.”

Sarah Elizabeth Wallace — Producer, Singer, Composer, Lyricist, Keys & Piano
Sarah Elizabeth Wallace is a Lansing musician, artist, performer, composer, and producer whose career began in professional performance as a child. With a background spanning musical theatre, opera, and original music, she created canciones totales del león (Total Songs of the Lion) and leads Wallace Art Productions, bringing together musicians from a range of cultural and musical backgrounds.
