Behind the Light: A Private Studio Visit with Grimanesa Amorós (Invite Only)

Discussion Art Gallery Community Club

What’s Happening?

You are invited to a rare and intimate evening with internationally acclaimed artist Grimanesa Amorós at her private studio in Tribeca.

Known for her monumental light sculptures and immersive installations, Amorós transforms light into a powerful artistic language—one that explores identity, cultural memory, human connection, and the relationship between people and place. Her luminous works have captivated audiences around the world, from Times Square to the Venice Biennale, creating experiences that are both visually arresting and deeply resonant.

This invitation-only gathering offers guests rare access to the artist’s creative world and an intimate look at the ideas, research, and stories that shape her practice. In the setting where concepts first take form, Grimanesa will share insight into how her large-scale installations evolve from inspiration to realization, offering a personal perspective on the vision, experimentation, and meaning behind her work.

More intimate than a gallery opening and more personal than a museum visit, this special evening invites guests to experience contemporary art through direct access, thoughtful conversation, and a deeper understanding of the creative process itself. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with a thoughtfully curated circle of collectors, curators, advisors, journalists, and cultural leaders.

Complimentary admission for invited guests. Cocktails, wine, and canapés will be served.
