The Subject Lecture Series: Imani Ellis

Museum Exhibit Lecture Storytelling

What’s Happening?

The Subject is a free lecture series exploring how influential artists and cultural leaders transform their ideas into culture-shifting moments. Through 45-minute lectures, speakers unpack their creative processes, pivotal decisions, and lessons learned. The series offers a rare look into the thinking behind influential work, giving emerging creatives both the inspiration and a practical blueprint to build something of their own.

This lecture series is sponsored by the Mark and Mary Goff Fiterman Lecture Fund.

Imani Ellis:
Imani Ellis is an award-winning community builder and cultural architect. She’s the founder and CEO of CultureCon, the premier cultural event celebrating creatives and creators, and the founder of The CultureCon Collective, a community dedicated to supporting Black and Brown creative professionals. An inductee into the Advertising Hall of Fame, Imani was also named a “2024 Closer of the Wealth Gap” by TIME, a “Breakthrough Creative” by Ebony, and a “Creative Champion” by Adweek.
