Other Health & Fitness Socializing Healthy

What’s Happening?

Diabetes Support Group, that happens weekly on Mondays, from 4:00 - 5:30 pm. This group is designed to support individuals managing Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, as well as their loved ones, in a compassionate and understanding environment.

Many people struggle to understand their condition, feel embarrassed discussing it, or lack the tools to manage it effectively. This group aims to address these needs by providing a safe space for sharing experiences, challenges, successes, developing healthier habits, encouragement, and confidence building in managing diabetes.

Why Include Both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes? While Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes differ in causes and treatment approaches, individuals managing Type 1 diabetes can greatly benefit from the group’s support, community, and educational resources.

Topics like nutrition, stress management, and coping strategies are essential for everyone navigating diabetes. Additionally, those with Type 1 diabetes can share their unique experiences, which fosters mutual learning and support within the group.
