Midwinter Music in the Museum

Classical Wine Black History Month

What’s Happening?

USA 250: The Immigrant and The Citizen

In honor of America's 250th anniversary and Black History Month, we are highlighting the string quartet music of citizen Florence Price and immigrant Antonín Dvořák in Buena Vista Winery’s Wine Tool Museum Room. Enjoy an intimate evening of chamber music the way it was meant to be experienced.

Program includes the Florence Price String Quartet No. 2 in A minor (1935) and the Dvorak String Quartet No. 12 in F major Op 96 "The American" (1893, written in Iowa) with musicians Robin Hansen and Ani Bukujian, violin, Elizabeth Prior, viola, and Emileigh Vandiver, cello. The musicians will be introducing the composers’ biographies and American stories.

Doors open at 6 pm, and the show starts at 7 pm. Wine by the glass and by the bottle, as well as Charcuterie Plates, will be available for purchase.
