What’s Happening?

Spotlighting international cinema, the Bozeman Film Society presents its Winter Film Series this January at The Rialto Theater. The lineup includes critically-acclaimed cinema from Iran, Norway, and Brazil, featuring Cannes Film Festival prize-winners: IT WAS JUST AN ACCIDENT, SENTIMENTAL VALUE, and THE SECRET AGENT. Tickets and Series passes are available.

Directed by Joachim Trier. Starring Stellan Skaarsgard, Renate Reinsve, Elle Fanning

Sisters Nora and Agnes reunite with their estranged father, the charismatic Gustav, a once-renowned director who offers stage actress Nora a role in what he hopes will be his comeback film. When Nora turns it down, she soon discovers he has given her part to an eager young Hollywood star. Suddenly, the two sisters must navigate their complicated relationship with their father - and deal with an American star dropped right into the middle of their complex family dynamics. 2h 13m. Rated R (Some Language|Brief Nudity|A Sexual Reference).

"A story about home, inheritance, and fiction's ability to reveal truths capable of bringing alienated individuals together, it's a tumultuous, moving triumph.' Nich Schager, The Daily Beast
