Paintings Opening Reception Art Exhibition

What’s Happening?

Home, Community, and Sense of Place
an exhibition that explores the deep and often complex connections between belonging and the idea of home.

Stop by Joslyn Castle between 5:00-8:00PM to celebrate the works of these local artists.

Opening Reception
Fri. Jan 9 | 5-8PM | FREE

What does home look like for you—or in what landscape do you feel most grounded? How do communities form, adapt, and sustain themselves? What happens when that sense of belonging is challenged, fractured, or transformed?

In connection to Opera Omaha's upcoming production of "Susannah," this exhibition welcomes works that celebrate the warmth and familiarity of home as well as works that consider cultural memory and the dynamic processes of community-building. By inviting a broad spectrum of artistic voices and forms, Home, Community, and Sense of Place aims to uplift diverse lived experiences while highlighting the universal human need for connection.
