Uncork the Cape: South African Wine Class & VAMP Concert

Classical Wine Tastings

What’s Happening?

Join KMFA and Cape Bottle Room for a rich and immersive evening of South African wine, flavor, and music at Uncork the Cape on Wednesday, December 17 at 7PM.

This intimate guided tasting will feature four carefully curated South African wines, each artfully paired with cheeses, regional jerkies, and charcuterie that highlight the flavors and traditions of the Cape.

Wine expert Cory Declusin and KMFA's Dianne Donovan will lead guests through each selection, sharing background on the region, grape varietals, and the stories behind these unique and hard-to-find wines. Guests will also have the opportunity to chat with owner and proprietor Danya Declusin, who will be on hand to recommend additional wines based on personal taste and help guests discover new favorites.

Enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbly on arrival and then get ready to taste the following unique selections during the wine tasting class:

- Beaumont Hope Marguerite Old Vine Chenin Blanc
- Creation Chardonnay
- Bruce Jack Pinotage
- Springfield Estate The Work of Time

Love what you’re tasting? Wines from the evening will be available for purchase—perfect for your holiday table or year-round enjoyment.

To close out the evening, enjoy a special live mini-concert by the remarkable women of VAMP, performing songs from their just-released, self-titled debut album. This is a rare and intimate chance to hear one of Austin’s freshest ensembles in a unique setting.

Tickets are just $75.00 for this unforgettable evening of wine, flavor, and music. Space is limited so reserve your seat now at kmfa.org/capebottleroom!
