Educational Other Entertainment Zoo & Animals

What’s Happening?

Celebrate National Pig Day with us!

Bring a little Razorback spirit to National Pig Day! Stop by the Zoo to learn what makes these remarkable animals worth cheering for.

Fun Fact: Wild pigs are highly intelligent and social.

Wild pig species support their native ecosystems in their search for food by rooting and softening the soil for new plants to grow. As they eat and pass vegetation, seeds are dispersed, which helps to support diverse plant populations. However, many pig species face threats such as habitat loss, hunting, and human-wildlife conflict. Visit the Zoo to learn more!

Schedule of Activities
10:00- 12:00 Educational table with activities at the Red River Hog exhibit

1:45 Red River Hog Keeper Chat

Activities included with regular admission.
