Dinner Live Music Jazz Music

What’s Happening?

Celebrate the artistry of jazz vocalist, pianist and organist Kathryn Farmer as she takes the stage for an upcoming performance destined to enchant. With a career spanning some 16 countries and a 4½-octave vocal range to match, she is truly a jazz diva in every sense. jazzfoundation.org+2All About Jazz+2 A graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music and a versatile musician—arranger, composer, lyricist, pianist and Hammond B3 organist—Farmer brings deep craft to her performances. entagency.com+2jazzfoundation.org+2

The evening’s set will unfold in three distinct moods:

Piano and vocals: Farmer takes a solo seat at the grand piano, mining the American Songbook and contemporary jazz-standards with intimate phrasing and nuanced dynamics. Expect tender ballads, understated swing, and a voice that draws you in.
Organ and vocals: Then the lights dim and the Hammond B3 comes alive. With soulful grooves, rich organ swells and vocal lines that weave in and out of the texture, Farmer shifts gears into a more gospel-jazz and soul-inflected space that invites deeper immersion.
Vocal performance to a big-band track: For the finale she fronts a big band: bold brass, driving rhythms, dynamic charts — and her voice soaring above it all. She’ll bring big-band swing, perhaps a blues or arrangement you’ve heard before, elevated by her trademark interpretive touch.
This is more than a concert; it’s a showcase of musical versatility, emotional depth and sheer performance charisma. If you’re looking for a night where jazz traditions meet bold creativity, be sure to reserve a seat.
