PWAC BLOCK PARTY 2025 - FREE

Opening Reception Free Food Art Exhibition

What’s Happening?

FREE EVENT!!!

Public Works Art Center is thrilled to bring back our annual Block Party, an event for every member of our community! This year, we’re once again blocking off West Richardson Avenue (from Short Central to Cedar Street) in Downtown Summerville to create a vibrant, art-filled celebration for all ages. Think old-fashioned carnival energy, with an artistic twist, celebrating creativity, connection, and community!

Expect ART-THEMED GAMES, LIVE MURAL PAINTING, FACE PAINTING, COLORFUL TREATS, PERFORMERS OF ALL KINDS, AND MANY MORE SURPRISES! Plus, the Block Party doubles as the reception for our SPARK COMMUNITY EXHIBITION, our beloved all-ages annual show where every piece submitted is accepted. Held on a Saturday morning in September while the farmer’s market buzzes just a block away, this event promises a lively, unforgettable experience for all!

Our 2025 Block Party serves as the primary fundraiser for Public Works Art Center, raising money to support our operations throughout the year. Funding will allow us to continue offering free admission and ever-changing art activities to every visitor, continue providing accessible art studios and classes for all ages and abilities, and continue to partner with other local nonprofits to break down barriers to art for our entire community. Money raised will also support increasing our impact through free off-site art engagement opportunities throughout the Lowcountry. Your participation ensures we can keep creating, sharing, and growing with our community!

We’re thrilled to share that this year’s Block Party is proudly Powered by REV Federal Credit Union! 🎉 Huge thanks to our Title Sponsor for making this community celebration possible 💛
