- Bring your own mushroom mysteries for help with identification, and learn how to use iNaturalist to learn more and share your finds.
- Create your own fungi environment in a take-home diorama.
- Make a paper crown featuring a fungi covered log.

- Pick up a ticket for a free showing of the short planetarium show Finding Fungi, created by the Minnesota Mycological Society. Tickets will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Shows at 11:15, 12:00, and 12:45.

 
Finding Fungi
In this planetarium show, you’ll join the Minnesota Mycological Society in a full-dome forest foray to find fungi! Learn about how mushrooms grow and why that is key to understanding more about them. Explore easy edibles, toxic toadstools, and everything in between. This show was produced by the Minnesota Mycological Society, with support and encouragement from the Bell Museum. Suitable for all ages.

Free tickets will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Shows are at 11:15, 12:00, and 12:45.

 

Spotlight Science is a regular program connecting you to current science conducted at the University of Minnesota and in our community. Join researchers, students, and special guests for conversations and unique interactive experiences.
