One Night Only: Experience a magical jazz evening at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

Join us for Musical Vizcaya: Jazz Night, an unforgettable night of live music with award-winning bassist Mikailo Kasha and his powerhouse quartet featuring pianist Connor Rohrer, guitarist Diego Melgar, and drummer Jonathan Ziegler.

✨ Set against the stunning backdrop of Vizcaya’s historic Main House, this soulful evening features a mix of jazz standards and an exclusive original piece composed for this performance.

About Mikailo Kaisha

Mikailo Kasha is an award-winning bassist, composer, and bandleader based in Miami. Hailed by Scotty Barnhart of the Count Basie Orchestra as among “the top 1% of bassists worldwide,” Kasha is known for his dynamic leadership and versatility on both upright and electric bass.

A Bay Area native, he trained with top programs like SFJazz All Stars and studied with jazz greats including Rodney Jordan, Marcus Roberts, Rufus Reid, and Christian McBride. He holds degrees from Florida State University and the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music.

A three-time DownBeat award winner, Kasha has performed at major festivals including Stanford Jazz Festival, where he premiered music from his upcoming album, as well as San Jose and Rochester Jazz Festivals. He’s shared the stage with artists like Dayna Stephens, Nestor Torres, and Nick Finzer.
