Ideas Over Lunch: Designing the Memphis Art Museum with Jack Brough

Spring Summer Other Arts and Culture

What’s Happening?

Take a closer look at the blueprints with architect Jack Brough, Project Manager for the new Memphis Art Museum and Associate at Herzog & de Meuron. Jack Brough began his collaboration with Herzog & de Meuron in New York in 2009. He has contributed to a number of significant cultural, institutional, and hospitality projects in North America, such as the Parrish Art Museum and 215 Chrystie. In 2011, he moved to Miami to monitor construction of the Pérez Art Museum, focusing on the execution of its exposed concrete structure. After returning to New York from 2013 to 2016 for the design and realization of 215 Chrystie, he relocated to Basel to lead the Powerhouse Arts team – eventually seeing the project through to completion on site. In 2021, he returned to Basel to serve as project manager for the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. Since 2023, he has been living in Memphis – his hometown – to oversee the realization of the new museum.

Lunch must be reserved in advance. Please do not bring outside food or drinks.
