Opening Reception July 11th @ Arch Enemy Arts

Art Gallery Opening Reception Art Exhibition

What’s Happening?

Join Arch Enemy Arts on July 11th from 5pm - 9pm for the opening reception of three spectacular new solo features and one group exhibition dedicated to our local nostalgia for going "down the shore."

Veks Van Hillik (France, b. 1988) is based in Toulouse in the South of France. Entirely self-taught, Veks became fascinated with ecology at a young age; he says the environment he grew up in, filled with nature, continues to shape his imagination today. A prolific mural artist throughout France, Veks paints surreal, gothic visions that pay homage to a tradition of baroque classics.

Beatriz Bradaschii (Brazil, b. 1993) is an emerging oil painter and sculptor with impressive technique and meticulous detail. A true surrealist, she draws inspiration from her dreams and the fragments of memories. Her work is romantic, elegant, and complex with the allure of Victorian horror and the innocence of a child’s fantasy.

Fran de Anda (Mexico, b. 1979) creates anthropomorphic portraits that combine contemporary magical realism with ancient baroque symbolism. Using traditional techniques to grind his own pigments, tempera oil, and gold and silver leaf, De Anda calls to mind ancient religious artwork, and imbues his playfully wrought creatures with gravity and sacred mysticism.
