What’s Happening?

Handmade books are meaningful works of art with a rich history. Dive into the wonderful world of bookmaking with this introductory level class where you will learn the history and basics of binding books, and create a unique hand-bound journal, perfect for recording your summer adventures.

In this project, you will create cover and interiors for an accordion style book journal, complete with a ribbon, leather, or buttoned closure. By the end of the class, you will have completed your own handmade journal to take home!

Materials will be provided; however, patrons are encouraged to bring any scrapbooking paper, drawings, or paintings they wish to use for their book’s cover. Suitable for ages 16 and up.

Questions? Contact Natalie Belanger, Adult Programs Manager, at nbelanger@connecticutmuseum.org.

TICKETS (includes all materials)
