Tickets are required. All programs are open seating.

Planetarium Film: Fly Me to the Moon
An elaborate, animated film offering big adventure and comedy, set against the real story of our first visit to another world. Follow three young flies as they inadvertently stowaway aboard Apollo 11 and join Neil, Buzz, and Michael on their mission to pull off the very first moon landing!

*Disclaimer: This film is reminiscent of U.S. culture in the 60's.

Ages 5 and under = FREE
Ages 6-12 = $5
Ages 13+ = $10

FSU students with a valid ID = FREE
Recommended for: Families & All Ages

More about Christa McAuliffe Center and FSU Planetarium at Framingham State University
The McAuliffe Center was created in 1994 to honor Framingham State’s beloved alumna Christa Corrigan McAuliffe ‘70, the First Teacher in Space, who died in the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger accident. Today, the McAuliffe Center functions as a hub for much of Framingham State University’s informal STEM education and outreach. It includes a Challenger Learning Center, the University’s Planetarium, an exhibit hall and serves K-16 students and educators from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and beyond. The FSU Planetarium features a pair of ultra-high contrast laser phosphor projectors, resulting in dramatically increased picture quality for both night sky scenes and fulldome films! Each show's sound effects and music are driven by a brand new 5.1 digital surround sound system that has been custom designed and professionally engineered for our dome. Content offerings include the classic night sky tour paired with a film, as well as opportunities for students to directly interact with content on the dome and become participants in the show itself.
