World Rhino Day

Science Educational Zoo & Animals

What’s Happening?

Celebrate World Rhino Day at the Little Rock Zoo!

Did you know that rhinos have thick skin to protect them from predators, but it's also very sensitive? Or that the white rhino is the largest species, weighing up to 5,000 pounds? Come discover these incredible facts and more!

Rhinos are some of the most iconic and endangered animals on Earth. They provide important benefits to their ecosystems such as seed dispersal and landscape maintenance. With only a handful of species remaining, rhinos are facing threats like habitat loss and poaching. The Little Rock Zoo is proud to care for these magnificent creatures and raise awareness about their conservation.

Join us on September 20nd for World Rhino Day and learn about the challenges rhinos face in the wild, the critical efforts to protect them, and ways you can help ensure their future in the wild.
