Join us on September 7th as we Celebrate World Crane Day and learn more about the unique crane species we have at the Little Rock Zoo!

Did you know that the Crowned Crane, with its stunning golden plumage, is known for its elaborate courtship dance? Or that the Blue Crane, South Africa’s national bird, is a symbol of beauty and resilience? Come discover these fascinating facts and more during special keeper talks, interactive activities, and the chance to observe our cranes up close.

Cranes are important to the health of wetland ecosystems, where they help maintain the balance of plant and animal life. Unfortunately, they are threatened by pollution, climate change, and habitat loss. Visit the Zoo to learn ways you can help!
