What’s Happening?

Come celebrate Juneteenth and Father’s Day with us!

Registration in advance is REQUIRED for the $5 BBQ plates, so get your tickets for this low cost dinner for Dad!

Pittman-Sullivan Park will come alive with The Party In The Park, featuring non-stop music by DJ Rhythm and Beats from 6pm-8pm. Enjoy the games and activities for the entire family, along with mouth-watering BBQ from a local food truck vendor. Loads of food, fun, and the fellowship!! This event will benefit the Davis-Scott YMCA, so show up and show your commitment to the community!

Pittman-Sullivan Park is located at 1101 Iowa Street. On-site donations by check should be made payable directly to Davis-Scott YMCA.

More about San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum
SAAACAM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed to collect, maintain, disseminate and interpret authentic African American artifacts related to San Antonio history in a community-based digital archive. The organization’s goal is to illuminate San Antonio’s Black history by empowering individuals to curate their own archives and cultivate a community-driven museum of digitized and audiovisual exhibits. The development of the community archive is ongoing. SAAACAM is the proactive steward of cultural and physical preservation of historic African American resources.
