What’s Happening?

Jaana Narsipur is a New-York based jazz vocalist who performs her unique arrangements of classic swing and soul-jazz with inflections of groove and blues. Jaana has performed in the city at Fine and Rare and The Flatiron Room in Midtown and in the weekly series Jazz Nites at Pangea in the East Village. In Westchester, Jaana has performed at many local favorites like Alvin & Friends, First Name Basis in Hastings, The Bean Runner Cafe, and a sold out house right here at Jazz on Main! In 2022, Jaana released her debut album "Better Than Anything," a tribute to the bebop and hard bop masters Bob Dorough and Horace Silver. 

Australian-born Andrew Swift is a talented multi instrumentalist, playing both guitar and drums in many jazz, R&B, and pop/folk ensembles. Andrew has shared the stage with veterans and newcomers alike in venues ranging from the jazz clubs of New York City, to the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, to the Monterey Jazz Festival. He is also an accomplished gaudio engineer, his work encompasses recording, editing, mixing, and mastering for independent and label releases, some of which have charted within the top 20 on the US JazzWeek charts. Andrew taught audio production at Manhattanville College for eight years.
