Troop & Program Information




Please indicate the maximum number of scouts you may bring. Because space is limited and multiple troops will be taking part in this program, we may not be able to accommodate last minute additions to your group on the day of the program. Note: The number of scouts you register for and the number of adults accompanying your troop will determine the cost of your visit even if you arrive with fewer people than you registered for.

Please be sure to bring 1 adult for every 10 children or at least 2 adults per troop, whichever is the greater number.
We will offer the same Colonial Life with the Claflins program in the morning from 8:30am to approximately 11:30am or in the afternoon from 12:30pm to approximately 3:30pm. We will do our best to accommodate your preference.

Note: Gallery hours are 10am to 4pm
Note: Morning program attendees will have access to a lunch space from the end of the program until 12:15pm. Afternoon program attendees will have access to a lunch space beginning at 12:15pm until the start of the program. If bringing a lunch, please keep it nut free.

For example, children with specific allergies or known physical limitations. We use corn, spices, heavy cream, potatoes, carrots, sometimes apples, paraffin wax, and ink in the hands-on activities. Children may experience skin contact with these materials.

Once a group visit to the museum is confirmed, the person of contact is responsible for notifying the museum if the group needs to cancel or make any changes. The museum reserves the right to enforce a $100 cancellation fee for any groups who cancel within two weeks of their reservation or are a "no show."
