Wenham Museum is thrilled to present bestselling author Anita Diamant in conversation with Kristin Czarnecki about The Boston Girl, an unforgettable novel about family ties and values, friendship and feminism told through the eyes of a young Jewish woman growing up in Boston in the early twentieth century. Through the lens of the novel, the discussion will explore what life was like for women of this time. While The Boston Girl is fictional, many of the historical elements in the novel are based on fact, such as the development of vacation homes for working women. Wenham’s own Iron Rail Vacation Home for Girls, founded by Helen Clay Frick, is one such example, and will be the subject of an exhibit at Wenham Museum this spring.
Following the conversation, Anita Diamant will sign books.
