Make Some Noise!

Wine Instrumental Socializing

What’s Happening?

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to buzz into a trombone mouthpiece, draw a bow across cello strings, play an oboe, or bang on a snare drum? ROCO flips the script for a wildly entertaining evening that puts instruments in the audience’s hands for a change.

The event will be held at Padre's Wine Bar, located at 3522 White Oak, Houston, TX, on March 6, 2025, at 6:30 PM. The first of its kind hosted by ROCO, Make Some Noise! is a judgment-free event that invites adults to have fun, learn, and rediscover the joys of music.

Attendees can explore four interactive stations with various instruments divided by the main musical families that you see on ROCO’s stages: winds, brass, strings, and percussion. Each station is led by a ROCO musician to help newbies produce sound and have fun experimenting with the instruments.

In addition to the music-making, patrons can enjoy food bites (included with admission) and wine selections offered at the venue. After all, a little liquid courage can sometimes bring out the inner rock star in many of us.

“My passion has always been to relight the ‘pilot light’ in adults! Fun should not be a forbidden word in classical music. It never has been with ROCO, so come explore like you did when you were a kid,” said Alecia Lawyer, Founder, Artistic Director, and Oboist for ROCO.
