Scouting Creighton
Creighton returns nine lettermen and four starters from last year's team that finished 20-15 and tied for third in the BIG EAST Conference with a 9-9 league record. The Bluejays advanced to the quarterfinals of the NIT with victories over Loyola (Chicago) and Memphis before falling at TCU.
CU returns five of its top six scorers from a year ago, a group led by Preseason All-BIG EAST guard Shereef Mitchell.
Creighton never trailed in an 81-55 win over Kennesaw State on Nov. 5 before falling in its most recent outing at Michigan by a 79-69 count.

Scouting Louisiana Tech
Louisiana Tech is 2-0 after lopsided wins at Texas A&M Corpus-Christi (82-49) and at home over Wiley (98-52).
The Bulldogs return four starters and nine lettermen from last year's 20-win team and also added McNeese State transfer Kalob Ledoux. Ledoux averaged 14.8 points per game at McNeese State in 2017-18 and the sharpshooter leads the Bulldogs in scoring this year with 15.5 per contest.
Among the returnees to keep an eye on are point guard DaQuan Bracey (15.5 ppg., 5.8 apg. last year) and JaColby Pemberton (14.0 ppg. this year). Two other big-time returners who are recovering from injury include Derric Jean (9.1 ppg. last year) and Exavian Christon (12.0 ppg. last year).
The Bulldogs are picked to finish third in Conference USA this winter.
