WALK ON THE RIVER
🏛️🌉 The original Walk on the River takes us on a journey of establishing communities, churches, and schools in the 1800s to the rise of thriving Black-owned businesses during the Jim Crow era. It covers the time frame of Emancipation (1865) to the Civil Rights era (1965) approximately 100 years of history.

WALK ON THE RIVER 2.0
🏫👨🏾‍💼 Walk on the River 2.0 speaks to the presence and influence people of African descent have had in this area before enslavement. Spain was ruled by the Moors (tribes from North Africa) for over 700 years and they influences Spanish culture and society. This documentary dives into discussions surrounding:
The Africans traveling to the Americas before Columbus
The Moors in Spain
Blacks at the Battle of the Alamo
Slavery in San Antonio… and more
