What’s Happening?

For the past 45 years, NAJWA Dance Corps (NDC) has been devoted to preserving and performing African and African American dance styles. Tonight, you will experience a taste of the present and the past as we take you on a journey that begins with pieces making social justice statements. We will premiere a jazz dance piece called “Lift Me Up” that promotes a “sense of unity, embodying the power of positivity.” Our journey will conclude with stops in the Caribbean and West Africa. Please allow us to heighten your senses during this enlightening evening that honors the past and celebrates the present.
