DIY: Mantel-Decorating

Seminar Winter DIY

What’s Happening?

Join us for expert design tips and new inspiration to turn the space above the fireplace into a warm welcome for the harvest and holiday seasons.

In this demonstration, experienced Visual Merchandiser Andrea Hansen will use various elements – including faux botanical stems, glass hurricanes, ornaments, and other home décor – to build beautiful displays for the mantel. Starting with a simple design for the late harvest season, Andrea will show you how to add layers of décor that can be adjusted as the season progresses for a dynamic, evolving display. Then, watch as she transforms the mantel into a holiday theme, using one of our favorite Christmas collections and offering design tips. And find inspiration after the holidays, too, as Andrea completes her final demonstration using winter-inspired pieces for the mantel.

This seminar is free to attend, and no pre-registration is required.

More about Mulhalls
We like plants, people, and beautiful spaces. John Mulhall came to Omaha in 1953 to landscape, and now, three generations later, we’re as committed as we’ve ever been to making Omaha a more beautiful place to live. Today we’re a team of a few hundred people, but our focus remains the same: working together to engage our community and share our passion for the beauty of the natural world. And we have fun doing it.
