The Queer History of Omaha Mapping Project began in June 2024 with a grant from the Omaha Community Foundation's Equality Fund. This project aims to uncover and document Omaha’s hidden queer histories, encouraging meaningful connections through shared stories. The interactive map highlights LGBTQIA2S+ historical sites dating back to the 1950s, with digital resources from UNO's Queer Omaha Archives.
