Akshara
Akshara is a Bay Area-based vocalist known for her unique blend of jazz, R&B, neo-soul, and Indian Carnatic music that uniquely transcends musical borders, engaging both the mind and soul. A frequent performer at in the Bay Area, Akshara returns to Art Boutiki once more to pay tribute to San Jose’s vibrant music community, which has embraced her over the past decade. Before she embarks on new adventures beyond the Bay, Akshara will perform an eclectic mix of originals - several of which are unreleased - and some of her favorite jazz and modern R&B favorites in a memorably ambitious performance with some of the Bay Area’s finest musicians. She'll be joined by her friends Nichole Boaz on keys, Simon Keyser-Petty on guitar, Tanner Hallinan on bass, and Phoebe Chou on drums, along with a few special guests for a night attendees won’t soon forget.

Frunkyman
Miguel Leyva better known as Frunkyman is a cannon fodder of all things funky. Hailing from Northern California, he is a composer, bassist, and an experimenter of groove and harmonic tincture. The cosmically eccentric sound adorned with elaborate funk convolutions and electronic elements have been a new sound in the Bay Area with notable performances and awards such as San Jose Jazz New Works 2022 Awardee, performance at Blues and Brews Festival 2022 & 2023, performance at San Jose Summer Fest 23’, Featured Artist and Resident at the San Jose Museum Of Art, and DYKSJ Artist series among other performances all over the Bay Area. His latest releases include three singles recorded with Bay Area award winning engineers and released independently in all streaming platforms. His mission involves spreading "frunk" across the planet with his mothership (the band) as he endeavors to find his way back to Fropiter.
