Almanac Spent Grain Pretzel Twisting Class

What’s Happening?

Each ticket holder will learn the following in class:
How to make spent grain pretzels
How to make whole-grain beer mustard
How to make hot cheddar cheese pub dip for your pretzels

In class, each ticket holder will make spent grain dough for pretzels and practice twisting four pretzels to go home to boil and bake.
In class, each ticket holder will go on a behind-the-scenes tour with the brewery owners.

Each ticket holder will leave class with the following:
A full container of ingredients, recipe and additional instructions to make the whole grain beer mustard at home at their leisure
A full container of ingredients, recipe and additional instructions on making the hot cheddar cheese pub dip at their leisure.
Recipe and dough for making 12 more pretzels at home!

VIP / FAQ:
Class is 6 PM - 8:00 PM (approximately)
You will boil and bake your pretzels at home, but a demo will be provided during class. You will make your dough and twist some of your pretzels in class. You will leave with those pretzels in their first rise and, depending on your schedule, continue your project at home or later over the weekend.
All participants must be 18.
All participants must have a ticket. This is not a one-ticket-per-couple experience due to space limitations.

Itinerary:
5:40 PM Check-in, sign-up, sampling - NOM, NOM, NOM!
You can check in as early as 5:40 PM. Please do NOT check in earlier than 5:40.
6:10 - 6:30 Welcome and Tour
6:30 - 7:00 PM Lecture,
7:30 PM Mixing dough & twisting

This class will be on your feet. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. You will need non-slip footwear in the brewery. Sandals and flip-flops are not allowed.

This class is:
Participants under 18 may attend with a ticket.
This class is good for groups
This class is good for a solo outing
This class is good for couples
This class is available for a corporate or private class during the daytime for a group of 24-48 participants! Please contact us if your company might like to snag this as your fall outing!
