Opening Reception Art Exhibition

What’s Happening?

Artist Reception—Artists' Link "Telling Our Stories"

Sunday, November 17, at 2:00 PM in the Patrick Lawton Lobby.

GPAC is proud to be a center for the visual arts as well as the performing arts. Our Visual Arts Exhibitions shine the spotlight on emerging and professional artists from across the region in the rotating gallery located in the Patrick Lawton Lobby. All Visual Arts Exhibitions are free to attend and open to the public during normal business hours and on days of performances.

Artists’ Link, founded in 1989, is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization created to be a resource and support group for Memphis area visual artists and to be a link between artists and the community. With over 150 members, the group holds monthly program meetings that are open to the public. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the fellowship and sharing of art information. Other group activities include field trips, critiques by local professionals, and planned activities such as plein air painting.

Artists’ Link has supported local art in many ways, including contributions to the Brooks Museum League’s National Arts Scholarship Awards, Theatre Memphis, and the Carpenter Art Garden. Since 2011, Artists’ Link has co-sponsored “Incognito” to support educational programs at Memphis Botanic Garden. Our members are frequent contributors to worthy causes by donating their time and/or artwork. As an all-volunteer group, success in all events depends on involvement and contribution from our members. Exhibitions are a vital part of Artists’ Link’s purpose and goals, and a professional approach is an inherent objective. These shows introduce member artists and their work to new and loyal communities of art-lovers.
