To kick off Domestic Violence Prevention and Awareness month, YWCA Greenwich is hosting the 2024 Walk the Walk & 5K Run Against Domestic Violence. This annual event supports The Harmony Project to raise funds and awareness for free domestic and sexual violence services at YWCA Greenwich, including counseling, crisis intervention, emergency shelter, criminal court advocacy, and a 24/7 hotline.

This event is pet and stroller friendly!

BENEFICIARY

Harmony Project of YWCA Greenwich is committed to the physical safety and emotional well-being of adults and children who are survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We provide client-focused services that are inclusive, healing, and empowering.

Last year, The Harmony Project provided direct services to 674 victims, the majority of whom were women and children.
The Harmony Project fielded 3,641 calls to it 24/7 hotline and worked closely with Greenwich Police on 139 family violence incidents.
Your participation in today’s event enables YWCA Greenwich to continue to serve the most vulnerable in our community and helps our friends, neighbors and family members stay safe.

YWCA Greenwich provides programs for people of all ages and genders with initiatives that include preschool and after school programs, aquatics programs, youth athletics, health and fitness programs and seminars focusing on racial justice and women’s empowerment. Additionally, YWCA Greenwich is the only provider of both domestic and sexual violence services in Greenwich, with staff who are licensed to provide crisis intervention, counseling, shelter, and victim advocacy. These services are free.
