JULY REMIX: A BLACK HISTORY MONTH COMEDY SPECIAL

Comedy Other Beer, Wine, Spirits Black History Month

What’s Happening?

Historians argue that five months after black history month is the blackest and funniest time of year. Thus, it is important to celebrate this moment through an iconic show with all black improv and sketch teams. This makes me think of my favorite Martin Luther King Jr. quote, "all black people really need is comedy". This quote truly does not get enough attention. Come out and honor this special time of year.

Featuring:
Blacksmiths
Pencils of Color
PWI & Transfer Students
Mashed Potatoes
2fifs

Hosted by: Delmar Dualeh

Delmar Dualeh read the book The Artist’s Way in the summer of 2021. This seemingly simple act unearthed his boundless creativity and began an unexpected journey into performing and improvising. And he can't stop talking about it! He hosts and produces special themed shows including The Mingle at the Magnet (speed dating show) and several all-Black improv shows throughout New York City. You can see him perform every Wednesday night with his megawatt team at Magnet Theater. When he isn’t improvising, he’s either working as an Academic Counselor at the John Jay College SEEK Department or watching RuPaul’s Drag Race.
