What’s Happening?

Come ready to celebrate the finer things in life at the Taurean Ball!

Sun. April 28. All ages welcome. 6-10 pm.

$15, $5 under 18. (buy online or at the door)
The Taurean Ball features everything our friendly Tauruses love: art, music, dancing, delicious food and drink, and a wellness retreat room with massage, psychic readings, holistic services and high-vibe products. Live music will be playing throughout the night from some of Madison’s favorite and soon-to-be favorite musicians: Mini VO5 (the wild stepchild of VO5), Automatic Lover (Afro-Cuban, jazz, funk, hip hop), and next generation musicians Micah, Jonas, and Miles (ages 11, 12 and 14). It will be an evening of merriment, beauty, and connection for all.

Music Lineup and Bios:
.
.
Up and Coming Musicians 6:15-6:45
14-year-old Miles Wiedenhoeft (piano), 12-year-old Jonas Feith (saxophone) and 11-year-old Micah Vedder (drums) are inspiring our hope in the future generation of musicians. Watch as they transfix the room with their youthful energy and passion for music, and help us remember our own passions from our childhood. Cheer them on at their first-ever performance together, with many more in their future.
.
.
Automatic Lover 7-8
When keyboards steeped in jazz and salsa meet guitars raised on 80’s hardcore and afrobeat, and the bass slaps back at its early metal roots backed up by a whole funky horn section, you get Automatic Lover.
Uriel López-Rodríguez (vocals), Mark Marsh (drums), Brett Farrey (bass), Matthew Reif (keys), and Shanan Galligan (guitar) have put together a concept band that incorporates each musician’s lifetime of inspiration, bringing you music that makes you move, music that can change on a dime. Weaving together anything from trap beats to soca, garage punk to samba, psychedelic prog to heavy disco, Automatic Lover is an experience all on its own, a celebration of love for music in its many expressions and the power of how it transforms us.
.
.
Mini VO5 8:30-10
The wild stepchild of VO5, Madison’s favorite dance band, Mini V05 also includes members of Loving Cup, the Rolling Stones tribute band. Andrew Rohn, Cat Capellaro, Katie Cass, Jim Shropshire, Lisa B. and John Feith will be on deck for this one. Be ready to shake your groove-thang!
